About Danya Ledford Vanhook
Danya Ledford Vanhook has been in practice since 2003. Danya has 17 years of legal experience. Danya has been in private practice for 10 years (2007-2009 and 2011-present). Most recently, Danya was elected President for the 43rd (Previously the 30th) Judicial District Bar for 2019-2020. Danya served as a District Court Judge in the 30th Judicial District in North Carolina. Danya has also served as a Department of Social Services attorney for Buncombe and Graham Counties and as a Clifton Everett Fellow with Legal Aid of North Carolina. Danya is an effective advocate for her clients.
Danya is a native of Macon County, North Carolina, and a graduate of Franklin High School. Danya graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Distinction in 2000 and from New York University School of Law in 2003, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board.

Danya is married to Duane Vanhook. They have 2 children and reside in Maggie Valley, NC. They enjoy camping, hiking and watching Carolina Basketball.
