Danya Ledford Vanhook is an attorney with ten years of legal experience in many areas of the law.  Most recently, Danya served as a District Court Judge in the 30th Judicial District in North Carolina.  Danya has also served as a Department of Social Services attorney for Buncombe and Graham Counties and as a Clifton Everett Fellow with Legal Aid of North Carolina. Danya is an effective advocate for her clients. 

Danya is a native of Macon County, North Carolina, and a graduate of Franklin High School.  Danya graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Distinction in 2000 and from New York University School of Law in 2003, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board. 

Danya is available to handle the following types of legal matters: civil, criminal, traffic, juvenile, social services, child support and domestic (including equitable distribution, divorce and child custody).

Danya has been married to Duane Vanhook (also a native of Macon County, N.C.) since 2005.  They have 2 children and reside in Maggie Valley, NC.  They enjoy camping, hiking and watching Carolina Basketball.  In 2011, Danya served for nine months as an alderman on the Maggie Valley Board of Aldermen

Melissa Clayton Jones is a native of Jackson County, N.C.  Melissa lives in Sylva, N.C. with her husband and 2 children.  Melissa is an N.C. State Bar Certified Paralegal.  Melissa has been previously employed with Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc., and several private attorney's offices in Sylva, N.C.  Melissa's areas of practice include Social Security Disability, Family Law, Domestic Violence, Criminal and Traffic.  She has over ten years professional experience.
